These photos were taken from inside the house looking towards the Japanese Garden. The tree to the left of the bridge is a Cercidiphyllum japonicum, or Katsuratree.
I will have the gardens open on July 31 from 8-4. You must register with the sponsor, The Garden Conservancy, based in NY state. I do not know when they start doing that. I think their website is thegardenconservancy.org. Where do you live?
